The First Nations community is notably young, with a typical age of just 19. Year 12 completion among First Nations residents is 48.6%, far above the state and national figures.

One-parent families are much more common here than in most areas, accounting for 20.2% of households. Most families consist of couples with children.

The area is dominated by separate houses, with 90.9% of homes being detached and 86.4% having three or more bedrooms. Renting is also much more common here than in similar areas.

Most people rely on cars, but the area has a high number of public transport stops and 97.5% of homes are within a 10-minute walk of a stop.

The community is quite mobile, with 37.4% of people moving in the last five years, though recent overseas arrivals are far fewer than the national average.

The local jobless rate is 6.1%, which is much higher than in most areas. Full-time employment is also significantly lower than the national figure at 52.1%.

The rate of assault and related crimes is higher than in most areas, though the rate of motor vehicle theft is much lower.

While almost everyone lives within a short walk of a park or transport, the area is far below the state average for walking to schools, groceries, or health services.
