Privacy policy
CensusAtlas doesn’t collect personal information about you. There are no accounts, logins or forms, so you never give us your name, email or any personal details — and we have no way to identify you.

To keep the site useful, fast, secure and free, we use these well-known services:
- Google Analytics shows us, anonymously, which pages and features people use — like which regions and statistics are popular, and how the map and search are used. It uses cookies and a random, anonymous ID; your IP address is anonymised and isn’t stored by us, and it never tells us who you are.
- Cloudflare delivers and protects the site. It briefly handles your request (including your IP address) to guard against attacks and speed things up, using privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
IP addresses may appear briefly in standard server and security logs, but they aren’t used to identify you. We never sell your personal information, and CensusAtlas itself doesn’t build profiles of visitors.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets a couple of cookies (_ga, _ga_*) holding
a random, anonymous ID. Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie only when checking that a
request isn’t automated. The site itself sets no cookies. You can block or delete
cookies in your browser, and opt out of Google Analytics with the
opt-out add-on.
The census data isn’t about you
The statistics on this site are aggregated, public ABS Census data (used under CC BY 4.0). They describe areas, not individuals.
