Residents are very active in their community, with 22.5% volunteering—well above the national rate of 14.1%. Unpaid housework is also much more common here, with 34.3% of people doing 15 or more hours a week.

There are 19 First Nations people in the area, who are noticeably older than those in the rest of the state. While First Nations household incomes are far above the state average, personal incomes are well below.
