Nangiloc has seen significant movement, with 43.5% of people moving in the last five years. Recent arrivals from overseas are also much more common here than in similar areas.

Agriculture, forestry and fishing is the dominant industry, employing 44.6% of the workforce. While full-time employment is well above the national average, the unemployment rate is also much higher than usual at 8.2%.
