A population explosion of 59% since 2011 has seen Cardinia grow into a significant hub of 118,342 people. This is a notably young community, where the typical resident is just 34 and children make up nearly a quarter of the population. Families are the mainstay here, living predominantly in large, detached houses with a strong preference for home ownership. The area is evolving rapidly, with a sharp rise in both overseas arrivals and people working from home.
