Family homes are the norm, with 56.7% of households consisting of couples with children. People living alone make up 21.9% of the community, which is well below the national figure.

Large homes are a defining feature, as 84.2% of dwellings have three or more bedrooms. Renting is much less common here than in most areas, while 33.7% of homes are owned outright.

Most people rely on cars, with 61.6% driving to work. However, working from home has become more popular, rising 10 percentage points since 2016 to 15.2%.
