More than 48% of residents have completed Year 12, which is a little above the state average. Those with a bachelor degree or higher make up 16.2% of the population, though this is far below the national figure.

Typical weekly household income is $1,596, which is a little above the state average. Incomes have grown significantly since 2011, with the typical household income rising by $896.

The community is healthier than most, with a lower proportion of people needing help with daily activities (5.3%) and a lower rate of long-term health conditions than the state average.

Unpaid childcare is very common here, with 36.4% of people caring for children—a figure far above the national average. Volunteering is also more common than in most areas, at 19.4%.

Homes here are larger than usual, with a typical size of 2.7 people. This is consistent with the high number of couples with children (61%) and the low number of people living alone.

Separate houses make up 96.2% of dwellings, with 83.6% of homes having three or more bedrooms. Renting is much less common here than in other areas, at just 12.4%.

Almost every home has a motor vehicle, and 69.2% of workers commute by car. Around 10.1% of the workforce now works from home, up from 4.5% in 2011.

The area has seen significant movement, with 42.3% of people moving in the last five years. However, recent arrivals from overseas have fallen since 2011, now making up 3.3% of the population.

More adults are working or looking for work here (65.8%) than in most other areas. The unemployment rate is very low at 3.0%, which is well below the state average.

The area is somewhat walkable, with 94% of homes within a 15-minute walk of groceries and 92.4% near public transport. However, there are no schools or health services within a 15-minute walk.
