Residents report better health than most, with a long-term health condition rate of 19.9%, which is well below the national figure. Similarly, mental health conditions are less common here than in other areas.

Community service is marked by a high number of former Defence Force members, at 6.9%. While 15.9% of people volunteer, unpaid housework is less common here than in most areas.

Families tend to be larger than usual, with 2.6 people per home. This is consistent with the high proportion of couples with children, who make up 58.8% of households.

Most people rely on cars, with 67.4% driving to work. Working from home is very rare at 4.0%, which is far below the national figure of 21.0%.

The population is very mobile, with over half of all residents moving house in the last five years. Recent overseas arrivals are also much more common here than in most other areas.

The workforce is very active, with 69.9% of adults working or looking for work. Employment is strong in public administration, safety, and healthcare, with 68.5% of people working full-time.

The area is very walkable, with a score of 6.6. Almost all residents live within a 15-minute walk of a park (96.1%) or public transport (95.3%).
