A long-term health condition affects 35.1% of residents, which is well above the national figure of 27.7%. Mental health conditions are reported by 10.4% of the population.

Volunteer rates are a little above the national figure at 16.7%. About 23.5% of people do 15 or more hours of unpaid housework weekly, which is a little above the national figure.

There are 20 First Nations people in the area, who are far older than the national typical age of 24. Typical personal income for this group is $425, which is well below the national figure of $540.

Living arrangements are unusual, as 50% of people live alone, which is far above the national figure of 25.6%. Consequently, the typical home has only 2.0 people, much lower than the national usual of 2.5.

Most people live in separate houses, and 43.9% own their home outright, which is far above the national figure. Typical weekly rent is $170, far below the national figure of $375.

Public transport use is higher than most areas, with 4.1% of people commuting by bus. However, 9.3% of homes have no motor vehicle, which is well above the Tasmanian figure.
