Residents are generally healthier than in other areas, with only 21.9% having a long-term health condition, which is well below the national figure of 27.7%. Only 2.4% of people need help with daily activities.

Unpaid childcare is very common here, with 35.7% of people caring for children, well above the national average. However, providing other types of unpaid care is much lower than in most areas.

There are 126 First Nations people in the area, with 24.6% speaking a First Nations language, which is far above the national figure. The unemployment rate for this group is 18.8%, which is well above the national average.

Homes tend to be larger, with 2.7 people per household. Nearly 65% of families are couples with children, which helps explain why the typical household size is higher than the national figure.

Most residents live in separate houses, and 90.6% of homes have three or more bedrooms. Renting is far more common here than in the rest of the state, while only 15.3% of homes are owned outright.

Car travel is dominant, with 74.2% of people driving to work and only 3.1% working from home. Despite this, almost all homes are within a 10-minute walk of public transport.
