Education levels are lower than in most areas, with only 7.6% of adults holding a bachelor degree or higher and 40.7% completing Year 12, both far below the national average.

Typical household income is $1,906 a week, which is well above the state figure. Personal incomes are also a little above the national average.

Long-term health conditions are more common here than in most areas, affecting 30.8% of people, which is well above the national rate.

The community has a high proportion of people caring for children unpaid (31.6%), which is well above the national figure. However, volunteers are much less common than in most other areas.

The First Nations community is quite young, with a typical age of 19. Household income for First Nations families is far above the state average at $2,107.

Homes here are larger than usual, with 2.8 people per household. This is consistent with the high number of couples with children, who make up 61.7% of families.

Almost every home is a separate house (99.1%), and 91.3% have three or more bedrooms. Renting is far less common here than across the state, at only 10.9%.

The area is heavily car-dependent, with 74.6% of people driving to work and only 0.6% using public transport. Very few residents work from home.

The community is growing and changing, with 38.9% of residents having moved into the area within the last five years.

More people are working or looking for work here than in most areas, with 63% in full-time employment, which is well above the national figure.

The recorded offence rate is higher than in most areas, with assault and property damage being the most common incidents, though the crime rate fell by 19.3% over five years.

Walking is difficult here, as the area is mostly car-dependent. Only 34.8% of homes are within a 15-minute walk of groceries, far below the state average.
