The area is much younger than most, with a typical resident aged 38 and a high proportion of children. Seniors aged 65 and over make up only 11.6% of the population, which is well below the South Australian average of 20.0%.

About 23.5% of residents were born overseas, a figure much higher than in similar areas. English and Australian are the most common ancestries, followed by Scottish, Irish and German heritage.

While 12.4% of people use a language other than English at home, this is well below the national figure of 22.3%. Only 1.2% of the community speak little or no English.

A majority of residents identify as having no religion (51.3%), a figure far above the national average of 38.9%. Christianity is the next most common affiliation at 40.5%.

Education levels are high, with 63.6% of residents completing Year 12, well above the state average. About 22.8% of adults hold a bachelor degree or higher.

Typical weekly household incomes are $2,024, which is well above the state figure of $1,455. Higher-than-average earnings are common, with 21.4% of households earning over $3,000 a week.

The community is generally healthy, as only 3.6% of people need help with daily activities. This is well below the national figure of 5.8%.

Caring for children is a major part of local life, with 36.2% of people providing unpaid childcare, well above the national average. However, volunteering is lower than in most similar areas at 14.7%.

First Nations residents are younger than average, with a typical age of 22. They have a much higher Year 12 completion rate (53.1%) than the state average, though the unemployment rate is also well above the national figure.

Homes here are larger than usual, with an average of 2.8 people per household. This is consistent with the high proportion of couples with children (67.3%) and the fact that very few people live alone.

The area consists almost entirely of separate houses (99.5%), with 97.4% of homes having three or more bedrooms. Renting is far less common here than in the rest of the state.

Most people commute by car, but the area has a high number of public transport stops and very short walking distances to them. Only 1.2% of homes have no motor vehicle.

The population is relatively stable, with only 25.3% of people moving in the last five years, which is far below the national figure of 40.7%.

A high proportion of adults are working or looking for work (74.4%), far above the national average. The most common industries for local workers are health care, construction and retail.

The area is notably safe, with recorded offences per 100,000 people being much lower than in most similar areas. Burglary and motor vehicle theft rates are among the lowest recorded.

While everyone lives within a short walk of a park or public transport, the area is poor for other amenities. No one lives within a 15-minute walk of health services.
