The First Nations population is very small, consisting of only a few people. Those identified as First Nations are far younger than the state average, with a typical age of just 15.

Over half of the households are couples without children, and 30.3% of people live alone, which is well above the national figure. This helps explain why there are fewer people per home than usual.

Every home is a separate house, and 57.6% are owned outright, far above the national average. While most homes are small, with only 42.4% having three or more bedrooms, no one in the area rents.
