More people here have a long-term health condition than in most areas, including a higher rate of arthritis. Mental health conditions are also more common here than in most similar localities.

Unpaid housework is very common, with 31.1% of people spending 15 or more hours a week on it, which is far above the national figure. There is also a much higher rate of former Defence Force members compared to most areas.

First Nations residents here are noticeably younger and earn more than those in typical Queensland and Australian areas. About 23.5% speak a First Nations language, which is among the highest rates for this level.

Homes here are slightly larger than average, with 2.6 people per household. There are far fewer people living alone compared to the state and national averages.

Housing is dominated by separate houses, with 97.9% of homes being detached. A far higher proportion of people own their homes outright (46.7%) compared to the rest of the country, and renting is far less common.

The area is heavily reliant on cars, with 67.1% of workers driving to work. Public transport is almost non-existent, with no stops or routes available in the area.

About 35.4% of residents moved in the last five years, which is higher than in most similar areas. Recent arrivals from overseas are far less common here than across Australia.

Full-time employment is much lower here than in most areas, and the unemployment rate is slightly higher. Fewer adults are working or looking for work compared to the state average.

The area is almost entirely car-dependent, with a walkability score of 0.3. There are no groceries, schools, or health services within a 15-minute walk for any residents.
