Caring for children is very common here, with 36.5% of people providing unpaid childcare, a figure far above the state average. Additionally, 6.2% of residents have served in the Defence Force.

First Nations people make up 3.7% of the population. Their typical personal income is $870 a week, which is far above the national figure, and the unemployment rate is lower than most areas at 7.8%.

Family life is central here, with 64.6% of homes consisting of couples with children. This leads to larger households, with a typical 2.8 people per home.

Large homes are very common, as 91.3% of dwellings have three or more bedrooms. Most people live in separate houses, and 43.3% are currently paying off a mortgage.
