While long-term health conditions are a little more common than the state average, the area has a very low rate of mental health conditions and far fewer people needing help with daily activities.

Participation is high, with 32.4% of people volunteering, which is far above the national average. This community also has a much higher proportion of Defence Force veterans than most areas.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population is well below the state and national averages. For the few First Nations residents, the typical personal income is a little above the state figure.

Families are the norm here, with couples with or without children making up the vast majority of homes. People living alone are much fewer than in most other areas.

Home ownership is very high, with 53.4% of homes owned outright, far above the national average. The area consists almost entirely of separate houses, and 76.7% of these have three or more bedrooms.

The community is very car-dependent, with no one without a motor vehicle. However, 30.9% of people work from home, which is well above the national figure.

The population is relatively stable, though 37.7% of residents have moved in the last five years. There have been no recent arrivals from overseas.

The workforce is mostly employed full-time, with a high concentration of managers and professionals. Common industries include professional and technical services as well as construction and agriculture.

The area is highly car-dependent and lacks walkable amenities, with no groceries, health services, or schools within a 15-minute walk. This is partly due to the steep terrain, which has a slope well above the state average.
