People needing help with daily activities are more common here than in most areas at 8.5%. However, the rate of long-term health conditions is lower than the state average.

Volunteer rates are well below the national average at 9.5%. Similarly, fewer people here provide unpaid care or perform housework compared to other areas.

The First Nations community has a typical age of 26, which is a little older than the state average. Unemployment for this group is among the highest at 23.4%.

Homes tend to be more crowded than usual, with 2.6 people per home. One-parent families are much more common here than in most areas, making up 19.3% of households.

Rental demand is far above the national average, with 43.6% of households renting. Outright home ownership is much lower than most areas, at 22.5%.

Public transport use is much higher than the national average, and 12.3% of homes have no motor vehicle. The area is well-served by 104 public transport stops.
