The area is significantly older than the rest of Australia, with 33.1% of people aged 65 and over. In contrast, children under 15 make up only 12.4%, which is well below the national figure.

English, Australian, and Irish are the most common ancestries here. About 19.8% of residents were born overseas, which is higher than in most similar areas but well below the New South Wales average.

Fewer people are working or looking for work compared to the state average, at 47.2%. Full-time employment is also among the lowest for its level, at 49.5%.

The area is very walkable, with 83.9% of homes within a 15-minute walk of groceries and health services. Nearly all homes are also within a short walk of a park.
