Unpaid care is common here, with 14.3% of people providing such support. The area also has a much higher proportion of former Defence Force members (4.3%) compared to the rest of the state.

Homes tend to be smaller in size, with only 2.3 people per home. This is partly because more people live alone here (28.6%) compared to the national average.

Housing is dominated by separate houses (84.7%) and large homes, with 80.2% having three or more bedrooms. Outright ownership is very high at 41.7%, while renting is far less common than across Australia.

Car reliance is very high, as only 0.5% of people commute by public transport. Most homes have multiple vehicles, and 21.0% of the workforce now works from home.

The population is relatively stable, with fewer people having moved in the last five years than in most other areas. Recent arrivals from overseas are also among the lowest at this level.

The proportion of adults working or looking for work is much lower than the national average at 54.6%. However, the unemployment rate is very low at 3.3%.

The area is only somewhat walkable, with a score of 4.7. Many homes are far from essential services, with only 53.9% within a 15-minute walk of groceries.
