Black Jungle vs Van Diemen Gulf

Van Diemen Gulf and Black Jungle are both sparsely populated and largely non-residential areas in the Northern Territory. They are nearly identical in their lack of residents and infrastructure, although Black Jungle has a far higher street connectivity score than Van Diemen Gulf, despite both recording zero intersections per square kilometre.

These two areas have tracked similarly since 2011, remaining almost entirely empty. Both have no schools, public transport routes, or public transport stops, and neither has any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents recorded.
