These two far-apart areas differ most in how people get around. 5,000 to 9,999 is somewhat walkable, with 73.1% of homes within a 10-minute walk of public transport and 58.7% of homes having a 15-minute-city walkshed. In contrast, 4,999 or less is mostly car-dependent, where only 15.9% of homes are near public transport and 47.4% have a 15-minute-city walkshed. 5,000 to 9,999 also has a higher share of people living alone (30.7%) and more adults with a bachelor degree or higher (14.8%).
