Major Urban Bounded Locality

Major Urban and Bounded Locality are very different places. Major Urban is a highly walkable (very walkable) hub where 26.8% of people were born overseas and 25.8% of adults hold a bachelor degree or higher. In contrast, Bounded Locality is mostly car-dependent and has a much larger Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population, at 14.2%. Bounded Locality also has a much older population, with a typical resident aged 45 compared to 37 in Major Urban, and a higher share of homes owned outright (39.3% versus 26.3%).
