Black Heysen
Black and Heysen are two residential areas in South Australia with very different layouts. Black is a more compact and accessible place, where 97% of homes are within a 10 minute walk of public transport and its walkability score is somewhat walkable. In contrast, Heysen is mostly car-dependent, with only 49.5% of homes near public transport. Black also has a far higher share of people born overseas at 27.0%, compared to 16.4% in Heysen, and it is far more connected with 119 intersections per square kilometre against just 5 in Heysen.
