Ipswich Wide Bay

Ipswich and Wide Bay are two distinct Queensland regions with very different populations. Ipswich is much younger, with a typical resident aged 35, while the typical person in Wide Bay is 49. This age gap is reflected in the families living there; Ipswich has well higher shares of children under 15 and far fewer people aged 65 and over. Ipswich is also more diverse, with far more people born overseas (24.1%) and using a language other than English at home (17.6%) compared to Wide Bay.
