Dubbo has a much larger First Nations population, at 16.1% compared to 6.9% in Orange, and a well higher share of recent overseas arrivals at 21.3% against 13.6%. Orange generally has higher levels of formal education, with more people completing Year 12 (47.2% versus 40.6%) and holding a bachelor degree or higher (20.2% versus 15.4%). Orange is also more walkable, with a higher share of homes within a short walk of public transport and parks.
