Forbes vs Young

Forbes and Young are two regional New South Wales areas with distinct profiles for their First Nations populations and transport. Forbes has a far larger Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community of 1,233 people compared to 656 in Young. In Forbes, First Nations personal income is well higher at $640 and the unemployment rate is much lower at 8.2%. Conversely, Young has a well higher share of people who speak a First Nations language, at 6.1% compared to 1.1% in Forbes.
