Greater Sydney Greater Hobart

Greater Sydney and Greater Hobart are two very different capital cities. Greater Sydney is far more culturally diverse, with 38.6% of people born overseas and 37.4% using a language other than English at home. In contrast, Greater Hobart has a much higher share of people with no religion (50.4%) and a far greater preference for separate houses, which make up 85.1% of its homes. Greater Sydney is also a major hub for remote work, with 38.9% of people working from home, compared to just 8.1% in Greater Hobart.
