How people contribute — volunteering, unpaid care and domestic work, and defence service.
Fewer people have been volunteering and caring for children in Central Highlands (Tas.) since 2011. While volunteering has dropped, the area still sees a high rate of people providing unpaid care and housework. This community remains more likely to have former Defence Force members than most other Australian regions.
