Fewer people have stepped up to volunteer or care for children in West Coast (Tas.) since 2011. While 16.3% of residents still volunteer—a rate slightly above the national figure—this is a drop from 19.3% a decade ago. The area shows a mixed pattern of unpaid work, with more people providing general care but fewer looking after children.
