Nearly one in four people in Hobart volunteer their time, which is a well above average rate for the city. This high level of community spirit is a standout feature, with 23.6% of residents giving their time to others. It is a striking contrast to the local rates of unpaid care and housework, which are some of the lowest seen in similar areas.
