Mawson and Morphett are two very different South Australian areas located about 144 km apart. Morphett is a very walkable urban hub where 29.9% of adults have a bachelor degree or higher, compared to 17.1% in Mawson. Housing differs sharply; Mawson is dominated by separate houses (92.3%) and larger homes, with 80.8% having three or more bedrooms, while only 60.5% of homes in Morphett have three or more bedrooms. Morphett also has a much larger share of renters (33.8% versus 19.9% in Mawson) and more recent overseas arrivals at 19.8%.
