Mongarlowe vs Murrengenburg

Mongarlowe and Murrengenburg are both sparsely populated areas in New South Wales. Mongarlowe is home to 121 people, including six Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, while Murrengenburg is largely non-residential with a population of zero. The landscape differs significantly between them, with Murrengenburg's terrain slope of 26.4% being far higher than the 8.1% found in Mongarlowe.

Both areas are completely car-dependent, with no residents living within a 15-minute walk of a park, school, health services or groceries. This lack of local amenities is consistent across both places, and neither has any public transport stops or routes.
