Subiaco Wanneroo
Wanneroo and Subiaco are both located in Greater Perth, but they offer very different lifestyles. Subiaco is a high-income hub where 55.7% of adults hold a bachelor degree or higher and 27.7% earn $2,000 or more a week. It is a walker's paradise, with every home within a 15-minute walk of health services and groceries. In contrast, Wanneroo is dominated by larger family homes, with 92.1% being separate houses and 92.5% having three or more bedrooms. Wanneroo has a younger feel, with 22.1% of its population being children under 15, compared to 15.8% in Subiaco.
These two areas have drifted further apart in some ways, as the gap in university qualifications has widened since 2011. However, they share similar baseline health and environment profiles, with about the same rate of people needing daily help and almost identical average temperatures. They also have a similar share of people who speak a First Nations language, sitting around 8%. While Subiaco is much more dense, both areas have roughly the same number of public transport stops per 1,000 people.
