Kununurra vs Wyndham

Kununurra and Wyndham are two remote towns in Western Australia with very different layouts. Wyndham is much more walkable, with 90.5% of homes in a 15-minute-city walkshed compared to 53.5% in Kununurra. This is especially true for schools, which are within a 15-minute walk for 96.5% of Wyndham residents but only 50% of those in Kununurra. Kununurra has a far larger First Nations population, with 1,314 people, and a much higher share who speak a First Nations language (19.6%).

Everyday life in both towns shares a similar feel, as both are considered somewhat walkable and have almost identical terrain slopes.
