Upper Murray vs Wagga Wagga

Upper Murray and Wagga Wagga are two New South Wales regions with very different layouts. Wagga Wagga is far more accessible, with a walkability score of 4.7 (somewhat walkable) compared to 3.7 (mostly car-dependent) in Upper Murray. This is seen in the distance to services; 74.9% of homes in Wagga Wagga are within a 10-minute walk of public transport, while only 28.6% of homes in Upper Murray share that access. Wagga Wagga also has a much larger First Nations population, with 4,471 people compared to 1,016 in Upper Murray.

Both areas sit near the national figure for the typical age of First Nations residents, which is around 21 to 24 years.
