Fadden Wright
Fadden and Wright are both large Queensland areas with similar populations, but they offer very different lifestyles. Fadden is more urban and diverse, with 31.1% of people born overseas and a typical walkability score described as somewhat walkable. In contrast, Wright is a vast, car-dependent area where 94.6% of homes are separate houses and only 17.8% of people were born overseas. Fadden has a much higher share of renters at 35.0%, while Wright is dominated by homeowners, with 88.4% of houses having three or more bedrooms.
Both areas sit near the national figure for the share of people who do 15 or more hours of unpaid housework per week. They are also very similar in other ways, such as having the same typical resident age of 39 and nearly identical typical weekly household incomes. Over time, some gaps have widened; for example, Fadden now has a higher share of people using another language at home and a higher proportion of adults with bachelor degrees than it did compared to Wright.
