A much lower rate of unpaid care defines the community in 5,000 to 9,999 compared to the national average. While only 8% of people provide unpaid care, this area is notable for having a very high proportion of Defence Force veterans. These figures suggest a population with unique service ties but lower levels of domestic and community care work.
