The languages spoken in homes across the area, beyond English.
A far greater share of people speak a language other than English in South Brisbane than in the rest of the state. Nearly 29% of residents use another language at home, a figure that has climbed steeply since 2011. This makes the area much more linguistically diverse than both Queensland and the national average.
