Fewer people are volunteering in Flynn than they were in 2011, with the rate dropping 6.6 percentage points. While 15.2% of residents now volunteer—a figure slightly above the national average—other forms of community contribution have shifted. Unpaid care for children remains common, though overall housework and general caregiving are less frequent than in most other Australian areas.
