Community Participation in Northern Beaches

How people contribute — volunteering, unpaid care and domestic work, and defence service.

More than double the national rate of people have served in the military in Northern Beaches. While volunteering is lower than in other areas, the community is heavily involved in unpaid care and housework. This creates a distinct profile of service both in and out of uniform.
