Agriculture, forestry and fishing is the largest employer at 16.2%, followed by manufacturing at 12.6% and health care and social assistance at 11.2%. Retail trade and construction also make up a significant part of the local economy.

Managers and labourers are the most common roles, making up 16.9% and 16.5% of the workforce respectively. Technicians and trades workers follow at 13.8%, with professionals and community service workers also providing a strong presence.
