How people contribute — volunteering, unpaid care and domestic work, and defence service.
Fewer people have stepped up to volunteer in Rest of Qld over recent years, with the rate falling by 4.7 percentage points since 2016. While the area still sees high levels of unpaid care and housework, community involvement has generally dipped. This shift occurs alongside a strong presence of former Defence Force members.
