The two areas also differ in their schools; Bancroft has much larger average school sizes, while Glass House has far more schools per 1,000 children.
Daily life in both places shares many similarities, including nearly identical typical weekly household incomes of around $1,680 and the same average of 2.7 people per home. However, the gap between them in several areas has widened since 2011. Residents in Glass House are now far older than those in Bancroft, and the difference in home ownership and rental rates has grown significantly. Bancroft's lead in diversity has also increased, with a higher share of people born overseas and those using a language other than English at home.
