Lake Macfarlane vs Mount Ive

Mount Ive and Lake Macfarlane are both sparsely populated areas of South Australia. Mount Ive is largely non-residential with just 12 people, while Lake Macfarlane has no residents. The land in Lake Macfarlane is steeper, with a mean terrain slope of 12.6%, which is well higher than the 7.5% found in Mount Ive.

Since 2011, the two areas have tracked similarly as largely empty landscapes. Both are completely car-dependent, with no homes within a 15-minute walk of parks, schools, health services, or groceries. Neither area has any public transport stops or routes.
