Kanpi - Nyapari - Angatja vs Mutitjulu - Uluru

Kanpi - Nyapari - Angatja and Mutitjulu - Uluru are two remote First Nations communities located about 136 km apart across the state border. Mutitjulu - Uluru is far larger, with 426 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people compared to 53 in Kanpi - Nyapari - Angatja. There are stark differences in income and language; the typical First Nations personal income in Mutitjulu - Uluru is $672, which is far higher than the $290 seen in Kanpi - Nyapari - Angatja. However, traditional language is far more common in Kanpi - Nyapari - Angatja, where 96.2% of people speak a First Nations language, compared to 56.8% in Mutitjulu - Uluru.
