Kakadu - Marrakai - Jabiru and Elsey - Roper are two remote Northern Territory areas with distinct social and spatial profiles. In Elsey - Roper, a far larger number of First Nations people live (1,612 compared to 436), and a much higher share speak a First Nations language at 93.1% compared to 48.9% in Kakadu - Marrakai - Jabiru.
