Fenner and Bean are two large areas in the Australian Capital Territory with very different characters. Fenner is a more urban and diverse place, where 31.6% of people use a language other than English at home and 32.7% were born overseas. It is also much younger, with a typical resident aged 34, and has a shorter commute to the city of just 15 minutes. In contrast, Bean is more rural and older, with a typical age of 38 and a much longer typical drive to the city of 51 minutes.
