Bennelong Robertson
Bennelong and Robertson are two very different New South Wales areas. Bennelong is a highly diverse, very walkable hub where 50.5% of people were born overseas and 52.4% use a language other than English at home. It is also more qualified, with 46.9% of adults holding a bachelor degree or higher. In contrast, Robertson is a more spread-out area with a larger proportion of detached houses (72.9% compared to 44.5% in Bennelong) and a larger share of residents with long-term health conditions (32.7% versus 20.4%).
Since 2011, the two areas have drifted further apart in several ways. While the gap in overseas births has narrowed slightly, the difference in language diversity has widened, and the age gap has grown as Robertson's population becomes noticeably older. Despite these shifts, they share a few common traits, such as having the same share of children under 15 at 17.1% and very similar numbers of local schools.
