A strong sense of local heritage defines 10,000 to 19,999, where the vast majority of people share a deep connection to their Australian and English roots. Very few residents were born outside Australia, making it one of the most locally born areas in the region.

English and Australian ancestries are most common, making up 46.1% and 43.4% of the population respectively. Other notable roots include Irish at 9.4% and Scottish at 9.2%.

Only 9.0% of people were born overseas, a figure that is far below the Australian average of 27.7% and among the lowest for similar areas. This proportion rose slightly from 7.9% in 2011, with 84.5% of the population born in Australia.
