Only 43.8% of residents in 5,000 to 9,999 finished Year 12, which is far below the national figure of 58.8%. While this is around the middle for similar areas, it highlights a gap in formal schooling compared to the rest of the country. However, the number of people finishing high school has risen by 7.9 percentage points since 2011.
